"Tis The Season...FaLaLaLaLaLaLaLaLa"

Christmas music is filling the chilly air. It is fun to sing along and be joyous! I love this time of year, waiting for the first snow to fall. I love planning which cookies to bake this year. Hanging stockings and ornament makes me feel young and happy. I love CHRISTMAS!!

Third times a charm

This is my third post. As you can see I go a month or so between posts. I still hope to improve on my blogging skills and maybe get a post a week going as soon as I figure out how to add photos, so sorry no photos today.

I've started back to work and the kids are great. The new director is fabulous, so I enjoy work much more. I still am working on getting to bed earlier, so I can jump out of bed in the morning a little more bright eyed. I am still working in the kindergarten in the mornings and in the extended day room from lunch on.

Last weekend my work friend Michelle and I went to the Popcorn Festival in Marion, OH. It would have been a bust if they hadn't had the Popcorn Museum, it was interesting. They had several old fashions popcorn/peanut roasting carts and the coolest collection of Cracker Jack treats. We also got a free box of popcorn as we exited the museum!! Of course I took a zillion photos, but in a cheap CVS film camera, as I forgot my digital camera at home. While in Marion, OH, we also saw a taxidermy Napoleon horse that was in the "Weird things in Ohio" book my friend Emily gave me when I moved here, as well as the Merchant monument in the cemetery. It has a 5 ton granite orb on a square base and the orb moves all on its own. How a 5 ton rock moves on its own is strange, but my thoughts on it is that one of the Merchant family member's spirit is blowing on it to impress us still in our mortal state!! So my adivse is, don't go to this popcorn festival for popcorn, but if you like me, want to see weird Ohio things...Marion is full of them!!

Fall is own it way. We have spotted a few trees which are changing color. Fall is my NO. 1 favorite season. I love pumpkins and candy corns , the cooling and shorter days, and Halloween ranks in my top 3 holidays!!

I will try again...

Well, I will try this again....
I just typed up a posting and then it went all "Invisible" on me. That is not my favorite Super Hero power, being able to "stretch" is though, so I will learn from my mistakes.

I tried setting up this blog over a year ago and in so doing hit a snag and gave up. I know, that is not a Super Hero trait, but I am trying again. A sweet friend helped me uncover the snag and so here I go a blogging. Watch out, the power of blogging might just overwhelm you.

Here is a quick overview of my summer:

**IN JUNE**
I started working summer camp at my school.
I took a week long trip to Hilton Head, SC.
I finally started scrapbooking my 2005 London trip.
I started packing up my house, thinking we were going to close on the house, but that all fell through.

**IN JULY**
We took a quick trip to Phoenix and saw some family.
I started working on the Ohio Star quilt top.
I continued working on the Monkey Wrench quilt top.
Worked more summer camps.
Enjoyed the cool summer temps.
Learned a little crocheting.

**IN AUGUST**
I babysat for a friends son in Tipp City, OH.
I finished the Monkey Wrench quilt. I ended up being a full size.
Planned the 3rd Annual Ice Cream Pig-Out for the 29th.
Finally was able to pick and eat some of the tomatoes from our garden.
...and more to come!!

Check in again soon for more posts!!
